10-Team 2-QB (4-PT Pass TD)

Starting two quarterbacks inverts the draft board. Generic rankings are actively wrong here โ€” this is why, and what to do instead.

WHY THIS FORMAT IS DIFFERENT IN KIND, NOT DEGREE

A 10-team 2-QB league starts 20 quarterbacks every week. There are 32 starting jobs in the NFL, and several of them are not startable in fantasy. That means functionally every viable quarterback is rostered, and the waiver wire has nothing behind them.

Josh Allen moves from 31.8 in 12-team half-PPR to 1.8 in 10-team 2-QB. That is not a small adjustment โ€” it is a ~30-pick swing driven purely by the roster requirement. Any ranking that does not distinguish these formats is unusable here.

Nine of the top 22 players on this board are quarterbacks. In half-PPR, exactly one quarterback appears in the top 30. That inversion is the whole format.

THE SCARCITY MATH

With 20 of roughly 24 usable quarterbacks starting each week, the replacement level at the position collapses. In a one-QB league, missing on your starter costs you the gap between him and a streamer โ€” often a couple of points a week. In 2-QB, missing costs you the gap between him and nothing at all, because there is no streamer available.

โ–ธ
Rounds 1โ€“3: you should leave with at least one quarterback, and taking two is a legitimate strategy rather than a panic move.
โ–ธ
Waiting past round 5 on your QB2 is the most common way drafts are lost in this format.
โ–ธ
The elite-RB and elite-WR tiers still exist, but they now compete with a position that has no replacement level.
โ–ธ
A quarterback who plays 17 games is worth more than a higher-ceiling one who misses three, because you cannot cover the absence.
WHAT 4-POINT PASSING TOUCHDOWNS DO

Four points per passing touchdown rather than six narrows the gap between pocket passers and rushing quarterbacks, because it reduces the reward for the thing pure passers do best while leaving rushing production untouched.

The board reflects this. Josh Allen, Lamar Jackson (#9) and Jayden Daniels (#16) all carry rushing floors, and all price above several quarterbacks with stronger pure-passing profiles. In a 6-point-passing-TD league you would expect that ordering to compress.

PRACTICAL DRAFT PLAN

The trap in 2-QB is treating your QB2 as an afterthought and discovering in round 9 that the position is gone. The board shows the run: quarterbacks occupy #7, #9, #10, #14, #16, #17, #18, #19, #21, #22 โ€” a near-continuous block through the middle of round two.

Once that block clears, the drop-off is severe. Plan to be ahead of it rather than in it, and treat any round where two or more quarterbacks come off the board as a signal to move.
